Parexel Early Phase Clinical Unit supports the development of innovative new medicines which are vital for public health, improving outcomes, and saving lives. The early phase and “first in human” trials are the first step in testing these novel treatments in humans. At Parexel Glendale, CA unit the Training Coordinator is a business-critical role to ensure that clinical trials are conducted according to local regulations, international guidelines, SOPs, and protocols by coordinating and performing, where appropriate, awareness, orientation, and skills training for all staff. This role implements and supports the Learning Management System (LMS) for the entire EPCU and facilitates the management of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction through reviewing training needs, training effectiveness, and support of training process improvements. Please note: this role is 100% onsite at our Glendale, CA unit (no remote work) What you’ll do after training is completed (including but not limited): Proactively train on various learning activities including Corporate Systems and actively expand the range of knowledge and personal expertise Develop with Local HR and present a structured New Hire Orientation for all new personnel, introducing the organization and of the drug development process. Ensure that all operational staff is knowledgeable of local and global regulations/guidelines (as applicable) Provide, lead, and curate staff training as needed Work with Department Managers to support and maintain Group Learning Plans (curricula), Competency Models, Learning Activities and Catalogues of Learning Activities for all roles (job categories) in the EPCU and update these in Parexel’s learning/training system (LMS) Maintain, schedule, update, and manage all EPCU learning activities in Parexel’s learning/training system (LMS) Schedule, communicate and document training as provided by sponsors. Ensure completion of Protocol specific training via LMS or supplemental training for all relevant staff members. Partner with Local HR/Training vendors to identify and maintain a panel of internal or external Instructors to deliver training as appropriate including but not limited to OSHA and CPR maintenance. Maintain internal Controlled Documents for staff (creation/revision, application, and training) Liaise with Head Quality Management/local HR/Managers to carry out an annual gap analysis on training needs, to support budgeting and resource planning needs if required. Support mentoring programs developed for all departments in the unit. Review study files including delegation of authority log for filing accuracy, completion and neatness. Follow up with team members when noticing trends of poor quality. Provide further feedback and training as appropriate. Ensure Training curriculum, Job Descriptions, and employees CVs are created, up to date, and completed for all personnel. Review all internal and external audit reports and work with the Head Quality Manager and Department Managers to ensure that issues identified are addressed by training where appropriate Your Profile: At least 2-3 years related experience in clinical research Prior training experience is preferred Well-developed presentation skills leading large meetings/trainings Computer skills; ability to use MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook Education: BS/BA preferred Base Pay Range: $25.00 to $30.00 hourly Actual salaries may vary within the range based on several factors including, but not limited to education, training, experience, professional achievement, and location. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for participation in Parexel’s annual performance-based bonus plan, annual salary review and additional total rewards incentives.
